iPad Power Adapters

Power Adapters:
  • Consider being able to charge everywhere conveniently: office, home upstairs, home downstairs, car
  • Consider how long the power/sync cable has to be
  • You may need a car adapter that has a couple of USB ports on it, so you can charge your iPhone and iPad simultaneously
  • Remember, that the iPad has a higher amperage requirement than most devices - Make sure whatever adpater you purchase for your iPad specifically states that it is made to properly charge the iPad
  • Apple makes the Apple iPad 10W USB Power Adapter ($29). It comes with the same 39 inch sync cable and power adapter that came with your iPad. But it also includes a 6 foot power cable, which can be added to the power adapter to get a longer reach.
  • Schosche has two power adapters available, one for the home, and one for the car; each with two USB ports, one standard and one high-power for faster iPad charging. They also make a low profile adapter for the car
  • Griffin makes several power adapters for both home and the car that are built for the iPad
