iPad Apps - iWork Suite

Personal Productivity Strategies > iPad > iPad Apps — iWork Suite


Soon coming mini reviews and tips for the iWork iPad suite apps.


For now, the good:

  • the apps make it very easy to make nice-looking documents
  • the apps have great user-interfaces
  • they can read and write as Microsoft Office apps
  • Numbers has a unique "form" view which turns the iPad into an electronic clipboard
And the bad:
  • some formatting can be lost between desktop versions
  • works with MobileMe and WebDAV for cloud storage, but not DropBox (you can still get our documents from DropBox, by downloading them using the DropBox app and then sending them to the iWork app)
  • cloud storage implementation creates multiple copies of the same document, does not actually sync versions
